ACAH: Andres 'Akula' Markov

Colonel Andres "Akula" Markov is a Russian mercenary fighter pilot making an appearance in the August 9, 2010 teaser of Ace Combat: Assault Horizon. In said teaser, he flies an Su-35BM and leads a formation of Su-33 Flanker-Ds on an attack against the American city of Miami. In the latter half of the teaser, he manages to shoot down the player's F-22A Raptor, and in the very end he is shown heading right towards the defensless William Bishop as he (Bishop) covers his face, with Akula apparently trying to suck him into his plane's intakes. However, the Tokyo Game Show 2010 trailer shows that Akula wasn't heading after Bishop, merely passing by him. It was further revealed in the Theartre of War that the ramming was just a dream, meaning that Bishop doesn't die but will fight Markov in the near future.
His nickname is Russian for "Shark", which is fitting given that his Su-35BM has a distinctive sharks mouth vinyl underneath the cockpit.

Altough he's said to be a mercenary pilot, his Sukhoi has the Russian red star roundel on it's tail. His plane number is 36.
